Review of Double Indemnity (1944) by James W — 26 Nov 2013
Billy Wilder directs one of the great film noirs. Barbara Stanwyck and Fred MacMurray both seem out of character for those viewers who frame of reference for them are The Big Valley and My Three Sons, respectively.
But this film of insurance double cross is taut and well done. If you like you movies dark, tense and moody, this one's for you.
