Classic Film Noire. Deliberately slow paced but worth it. Remade for TV with the same title in 1973 and again as the theatrical film Double Jeopardy (1999), starring Tommy Lee Jones and Ashley Judd. On Blu-ray with the 1973 same titled remake.
