Review of Double Impact (1991) by Erm Christ G — 21 Nov 2007
Two Van Dammes for the price of one! I can't think of a better reason to give a film 5 stars LOL!!! The film's a masterpiece! One J-C raised in Europe, explaining away his accent.... The other in Hong Kong, but wait, he was raised by French nuns in Hong Kong, explaining away HIS accent! Genius.
Not many people remember J-C's brilliance, his grace, his entertainment value, his fine arse.... But I do! I don't forget any of those things. People mock him now without actually having sat down and watched one of his films. I think this one's a particularly good J-CVD flick, because it shows his acting range too! Honest! You'd believe there were two of him! Chad, is a naive egotist which, thanks to - Karate can do the splits easily LOL!! And Alex a thug on the streets of Hong Kong - some job those nuns did!! LOL!! J-C's worked with a lot of fine actors that have all defended his acting ability. There's one bit were Alex is drunk and pissed off, because he thinks Chad's moving in on his girl, I was totally convinced! And J-C vs J-C is one of the best fight scene's I've ever seen!!
