Review of Dope (2015) by Zach S — 05 Mar 2016
"Dope" is a movie about the devastating effects of drugs in the Western United States, as you watch a young teenage boy go from 90's hip-hop nerd to major online drug dealer. Along the way, disastrous events occur that make the viewer recognize the threat of drugs such as club shootings, loss of family/friends and the side effects of being a drug addict such as sudden puking, carelessness, sex addiction and overall not being aware of your surroundings.
"Dope" is a satisfying film that was severely underrated at the box office, and deserves more praise for its intense and effective story and it's innovative filmmaking.
