Review of Doomsday (2008) by Warren M — 30 Dec 2010
Wow. I mean, now with this film, I'm sure that Neil Marshall is a comedy director. Modern-day cannibal, gothic-punk Picts? Yes! Medieval soldiers with spears, swords, axes, horses and castles in Scotland? Yes! Against English government-equipped and trained HIT teams! Why not? And a lead female character who has only one eye and is still a sharp shooter (without depth perception, one should explain me this feat)? Of course!
Now, let the fun begins!
Just add some "28 days later" virus, a sparkle of music from "Blade Runner" and you'll have the perfect soup.
Funny, in fact, but ultimately irrelevant.
