Review of Don't Torture a Duckling (1972) by Adam P — 14 Feb 2008
Before Lucio Fulci got into gorefest movies, he made giallo films like this one. It's one of his best in my opinion. Of course, as in in most of the Italian, overdubbed grindhouse films, the plot is always pretty thin and the acting falls by the wayside, but there is a good story here.
Despite that, my favourite scene is the killer falling down the mountain side getting his face smashed off as he goes, while pretty Italian pop music plays in the background. It is also so obvious that it is a dummy.
I loved this movie.
