Review of Don't Look Up (2021) by Drlowdon — 31 Dec 2021
When an astronomy grad student and her professor discover a comet that is set to destroy life on Earth in six months, they try to warn everyone about the impending disaster, unfortunately nobody seems to actually care! Don’t Look Up is hardly subtle with a satire, but it’s fairly effective at pointing out the absurdity of modern politics and the way people increasingly seem to think they know better than qualified experts.
Of course, the targets of this satire probably won’t change their minds, but either way it’s a pretty entertaining movie.
