Absolutely brilliant. Pay NO attention to nay-saying critics: they didn't understand Dr. Strangelove on first release, either. Only the shallow, the silly, the easily bored, or the Fox News watchers will dislike.
Characters 2-D? True. Some jokes land, others miss? Wildly uneven tone? True, true. All true. So what? Utterly brilliant. In every way. Stay to the very bitter end, beyond the credits, for the final tag.
