Review of Don't Look Now (1936) by Ida K — 30 May 2009
Eerie, yet strange thriller about an architect who starts seeing visions of his late daughter in the streets of Venice while on a business trip. Brilliantly atmospheric, however, I feel as though that quality of the film was meant as a distraction over the various loose-ends that occur throughout the plot.
Plus, there's a bit of a slow start, but towards the film's third act, things start to get more interesting, and the ending is spectacular with that incredibly unexpected twist.
