Review of Don't Look Now (1936) by Evan K — 26 Mar 2010
It does stick with you, I'll say that. The film suffers from being to led by the symbolic, ideological plot more than drawing you in emotionally or narratively. For its time this film is awfully original, there wasn't horror like there is horror now, and I can see why so many people were inspired.
When you watch it now the sound is too clunky and experimental to jive well and it is too eccentric. The ending still has everybody on end though, great editing and atmosphere.
