Review of Don't Look Now (1936) by Adrian B — 14 Apr 2011
Bizarre, though intriguing thriller from the 1970's. Tragedy strikes the Baxter family (parents played by Donald Sutherland and Julie Christie) when their daughter drowns in the pond in the backyard of their property.
To get their minds off this, the parents head to Venice to build a church, only to be terrorized by their daughter's ellegid spirit. One of the most oddest films of the 1970's. It is fascinating and it has great cinematography.
The editing and filming techniques are quite neat. It just seems so mesmerizing weird though, and it does cause me have some reservations. It is also over produced. None-the-less, "Don't Look Now" is very interesting and contains a incredible sex scene (however, too much of Donald Sutherland was seen).
