Review of Don't Breathe (2016) by Connor M — 29 May 2017

This was one of the many fine horror films that we got in 2016. I was more excited for this film because of the simple, yet original idea that was presented to us, and it looked tense as hell. I was also very excited to see this once I saw Sam Raimi's name behind it as well, one of the greatest horror directors of all-time.

We ended up getting what we wanted in the final product. Although very short, there is enough fast-paced, tense scenes to make your stomach curl. The performances, which I thought would be the weaker part of the film, ends up coming through and really surprising me.

Stephen Lang's performance as The Blind Man is very impressive, and I was expecting him to wow me coming into the film. There are many unexpected mini-twists sprinkled throughout the film makes the movie more enthralling.

By the film's end I didn't know if it would indeed be the end of it or not based on everything that happens before the end. Great film that will keep you thinking and on the edge of your seat during the entire viewing.
