Review of Don't Breathe (2016) by Brendan N — 20 Apr 2017
Great tense thriller that delivers something stylistic like Panic Room many years before it. The story grows a little absurd towards the later third but the film doesn't fail to deliver something different.
The direction is strong and the filmmaking is really strong, much like Fincher, you can see why the director has been chosen for the girl with dragon tattoo reboot. The film fails to meet the hype and I think people forget horror can be a well made genre in the correct hands.
Interesting film that should live on without being a franchise but this was way too successful.
