Review of Don't Breathe (2016) by Simon T — 28 Jul 2017
A reversal of the Wait Until Dark scenario: here, three teenage petty crooks make the mistake of trying to steal a fortune from a blind Iraq War veteran, whose home they soon discover is a fortress and a prison.
This very well directed ninety-minute chiller remains plausible throughout, with good performances, fine cinematography and production design and few of the horror clichés you'd expect.
