Review of Don't Breathe (2016) by Sherri T — 11 Jun 2017
This isn't the kind of film I would be expecting to compare to the silent movie tribute The Artist but both of these films have something in common which is a brilliant and very effective use of sound.
It's the use of sound or it's lack of use that adds so much tension in the film. Every creak of the floorboards or unexpected noise has the viewer holding their breath. The story revolves around a group of teenagers who are breaking into homes to get together enough money to leave town.
They then make the mistake of targeting a blind army veteran who has a very dark secret hidden in his house. Really tense thriller, well worth seeing.
