Review of Don't Breathe (2016) by Nilufer E — 10 Dec 2016
While the set up in the first act is pretty standard it doesn't waste too much time before getting into the action. Very good camera work helps pull you into the story and tension is well established early.
Also does a good job twisting where a cliched horror/thriller would go to keep interest when it starts to get a bit eye rolling with the action. While it does have some gore it could have really gone for it but pulls back.
The last 20 minutes is where it lost me a lot, even though for the genre it has a decent ending.
