Review of Don't Breathe (2016) by Mike C — 31 Jan 2017
Saw the trailer before another movie and thought it looked like a genuine, nasty thriller. Sort of. Love the premise: some kids are going to rob a blind man. They don't seem especially bad, just capitalizing on this opportunity.
As it turns out, the blind dude is a psychopath. Right off, he murders one of the three friends. And that sets the tone for a no-holds-barred thriller. There's a bit of a twist in there and I'm not sure it was necessary. There are worse ways to get a cheap thrill.
