Review of Donnie Darko (2001) by Jacob M — 05 Jan 2014
One of my favorite movies of all time, Donnie Darko creates a hallucinatory and divine world that doesn't belong to neither fantasy, nor to reality. Richard Kelly melds this cult-classic into a dark and mysterious vision that perfectly mixes sci-fi, drama, horror, and family values while painting a perfect portrait of teen angst and the pains of adolescence. There are only a handful of movies that can match this one's creativity and complexity. In my opinion, it's a masterpiece.
Fave Film.
