Review of Donkey Punch (2008) by Richard R — 23 Jul 2008
Decent British thriller in which three English girls visit Spain in search of sun, sex, sea, sand and sangria. Needless to say they get more than they bargained for when they take up an offer which they could have refused.
What begins as a care-free vacation, in which the moral tablet is first chipped at, then broken up and crushed, turns into a nightmare of paranoia and violence for all concerned. Criticised for its graphic scenes of nudity and gore, Donkey Punch is a film about amorality for which some will not have the stomach.
I've done my best recently to avoid trailers. The full version of the one for this film is particularly revealing and shouldn't be studied to closely if you intend to see the movie.
