Review of Donkey Punch (2008) by Ola G — 07 Sep 2008
Featuring three lasses from Leeds holidaying in Mallorca and getting mixed up with some posh lads, and inevitably having to resort to a flare gun, a knife and a chainsaw to resolve their predicament. As it featured Ray's daughter Jaime Winstone.
The only surprise for me was that a sock filled with snooker balls didn't come into it as well. It stayed fairly close to the finale female rule of modern cinema, upping the carnage.
Until only one girl was left in a lifeboat. She seemed strangely at peace with herself. She was also the only one of the three who hadn't been to bed with a posh lad so there was.
Some disturbing moral dimension to this, although it might be presuming a lot to think that this film had a moral dimension.
