Review of Donkey Punch (2008) by John C — 06 Apr 2009
Some movies are going to get buzz simply because of taboo. 'Donkey Punch' is one of those movies, using the deviant act as a selling point for a horror movie. A group of partygoers head out to sea for some fun in the sun and in the bedroom of a yacht.
When one of the girls dies from a donkey punch, the rest of the group turns on one another trying to come up with the best way to handle the situation. Unfortunately, it is viewers who get screwed in trying to see suspense and horror unfold on a boat miles from the shore.
Where will people hide? Oh ye...the boat. The only movie I have seen successfully bring suspense to a boat is 'Dead Calm', and 'Donkey Punch' doesnâ??t change my mind one bit. I wanted 'Donkey Punch' to be good, but it turned out to be more of a Cleveland steamer.
