Review of Donkey Punch (2008) by Jessica H — 12 Sep 2011
Donkey Punch is nothing you haven't seen before. A group of vacationing girls whose hopes of having a great care free vacation are quickly dashed when they decide to join a group of guys on their boat.
After the accidental death of one of the girls, the various characters argue and struggle with what to do. Naturally the boys want to dump the body but the girl's are much less agreeable about trying to cover up the death of their friend.
The film tries to be suspenseful thriller but its by-the-numbers and nothing very original or special. I never really found the story all that compelling to begin with and maybe its just cause I didn't give a shit about any of the characters.
Tom Burke does do a great job as Bluey, the aggressive asshole of the group.
