Review of Donkey Punch (2008) by Milno — 27 Aug 2009
Over-rated thriller which sums up modern Britain: it promises much, but delivers very little. First time director Ollie Blackburn doesn't have the stones to take this movie where it should go - a sadistic Last House on the Left/I Spit on your Grave on the high seas type of film.
I gave it one star for reasonably gory motor-propellor-to-the-face gag. The only piece of interest in this really dull flick. Much better are Steven Sheil's uber-nasty Mum and Dad and James Watkins's Eden Lake to give an indication of contemporary British horror cinema.
