This is a real film. It comes from the heart, as Donald would say... Most films are manufactured for money. Donald Cried is obviously something that the film-makers cared about and poured their soul into.
It's not clever or original. There are no villains or twists or gunfights... Just two guys interacting. Feels like a play, at times.
