Elisabeth Shue, please keep working. For roughly the first hour it seems like this is going to be just another minor variation on the one noir story filmmakers love to retell (is the genre really that limited?), albeit one with some nice quirk added.

Then the final third finally starts piling up the twists and it gets fun again. Some people might be put off by the humor, but if you're okay with the absurd this is worth a look.
