Review of Don Jon (2013) by Marlon A — 03 May 2014
I was in love with the movie until Joseph Gordon Levitt decided to try and answer his movie's question questionably by telling and not showing. I thought, up until the last minute, this was a fantastic and revolutionary film.
Portraying pornography in a truer light than most media do is something that needs to happen, and I (being a Christian) loved the idea of a secular approach to the issue, but it ended up being a little different than it needed to be.
But mostly great writing.
