Review of Dominion: Prequel to The Exorcist (2005) by Bryan G — 29 Oct 2005
Wow, I'm glad this was not the final product they widely released in theaters. It was too long and boring for it's own good. There was nothing scary in it and the characters were boring. I think the only part that was remotely interesting was the crippled boy who seems to be the devil.
Where did he come from, was he always possessed? Also getting into the church was better in this one. The other one was better only in that it was more bloody and characters had better backstories. I think if they made it that the boy was actually the body of satan that was locked out of his temple buried under the church and he needed get inside to build up his strength with a sacrafice, but couldn't because of a seal on the door.
But no he just was a lame kid from the village. This movie just dragged on and on with endless speeches about God. Don't bother with this movie, just rent Exorcist the beginning, you'll still be disappointed but at least there were some good deaths.
