This is what I would call an absolute tangent. Its message is good for what it is as a commentary about the evils that men perpetrate upon each other and the destruction it may wreck upon a person's faith in the process, but this lacks the lurking horror and primal fear of the Exorcist series, and I'm really not ashamed to say that I liked the Renny Harlin version better.
