Dumb. Stupid. Garbage. Horrible. Terrible. These are just a few of the words that come to mind when I think of Dolittle. Bad acting is prevalent, even when there are so many talented people involved. From Ralph Fiennes to Antonio Banderas to Robert Downey Jr.
to Tom Holland to Jason Mantzoukas, they’re all mediocre to bad. Harry Collet is also one of the worst child actors I’ve ever seen. The story, writing and cinematography are all absolute trash. There were a few genuine laughs, mostly from Martin Sheen, but they are all buried within the giant mountain of bad.
Also, Robert Downey Jr.’s accent is just hilarious.
