Review of Dogville (2003) by Juan Gabriel A — 14 Aug 2009
The theatrical setup of this film makes everything clearer than a normal film scenario. The acting, and the dialoges become the only important thing, revealing the rotting mentalities of the dogville people and the fragility of Grace.
Her name itself and the inscriptions and names of other people (like the children) also implies the philosophical context of this movie. It is a great movie, take your time (2.5h) and more to think about it.
You won't be dissapointed.
