Review of Dogville (2003) by Erasmo V — 02 May 2011
I watched it through it all; I'm not a movie person myself. At first when I saw the "unique" style, the movie was arranged, with almost no scenography I was... shocked? No... mesmerized would be the adequate word.
There was something in this movie that kept me on watching it, in fact I just watched it right now, and probably it will be the last time I will watch it. What the movie had is something called "truth".
The truth in this movie is really shocking, showing how the people are... just like that, with no scenography, with no walls, no shame, no NOTHING! This is, perhaps, one of the best films ever made. But I cannot recommend it to anyone, only to those who are willing to accept reality, and to those who enjoy watching a good movie.
Not like the **** that is going on nowadays like Twilight.
