Review of Dogville (2003) by Paul B — 15 Sep 2008
Mesmerizing minimalist masterpiece from Danish provocateur Lars von Trier forgoes cinematic conventions like sets and locations in favour of an extreme theatrical asceticism that only enhances the allegorical nature of his wonderful script.
The top notch cast helps blur the line between filmed drama and literature in a way that is hard to forget.
