Review of Dogtown and Z-Boys (2002) by Lindsay B — 03 May 2008
Documentary following a group of Californian skaters in the 70's dubbed the "Z-Boys" gives us an insight into just how trend-setting they were and how they helped mold the sport as we see it today.
Without these guys there'd be no Tony Hawk, Bam Margera, or various other professional skaters. This movie follows their history, gives us an insight into the movement of skating, and is an engaging effort from Stacy Peralta (who was in the Z-Boys and moved onto filmmaking).
