Review of Dog Soldiers (2002) by Andrew W — 09 May 2010
The funny thing about this movie is that when I first heard about it it sounded liek the stupidest plot to a movie. I was reading this masisve book that basically list all these movies that this reviewer(i think it was leonard maltin) had reviewed and this was one of them.
I read the description British special forces team gets attacked by werewolves, and I immeadetly just started laughing about how ba this movie must be. a year later I was stumbling threw the local blockbuster and saw it on the shelf, and I just thought I have to check this out, just for the sake of lauhging at the absudity of it.
ell I was pleasently surprised as it turned out to be one of the better indie film I have seen. now while there I not really any big scares other than the first scene were the werewolves attack them in the forest, the action ore than compensated for it, the acting was surprisngly good, and trying to find the next hidden movie refernce was fun.
I recommend picking it up if for no reason other than to see a grown man punch out a dude in a werewolf costume.
