This is a very very good horror film. Maybe the most underrated horror movie of its decade. Shot on a miniscule budget with a no name director and cast, now famous helmer Neil Marshall manages to craft what I would call the 2nd best werewolf movie ever produced (behind only 'American Werewolf in London') For the budget given, the creatures are pulled off very well.

The acting is genuene, and the script is pretty solid. It is unflinching in its realistic depiction of blood and gore, and keeps you on the edge of your seat from the first scene. It is one of the few films which makes for uneasy watching, even after you've already seen it and know whats coming, and I think that says alot about a horror movie.
