Review of Dog Soldiers (2002) by Andrew L — 10 Apr 2010
I remember fondly that tantilizing trailer backin 2001 or 2002 or when ever it appeared during what ever movie I had gone to see one sunday evening... and I couldn't wait to get back in that darkend theatre and watch the fur(blood soaked and mangled)fly!...Maybe it was that anticipation of a "predator" style horror that helped mask the many plot holes, some times dodgy doggies and bland ending... But even now having watched it for the 100th time I still don't really give a flying fuck if the dioalouge is hammy and the effects laughable...
...Because this is one scary, funny and bloody impressive slice of low budget horror British style!...Its grainy, gritty and looks like it was filmed for £100 but you'll swear by the end of the movie you'll swear you saw one the most convincing warewolf movies ever!... despite not exactly rick baker qaulity Lycans...
