Review of Dog Day Afternoon (1975) by Maria U — 16 Sep 2011
I thoroughly enjoyed re-watching this great classic from the 1970's, and continue to be amazed at Al Pacino's range as an actor. I don't think anybody else would have played Sonny as well as him.
We feel his paranoia and desperation and care for his humanity. Loved the humor throughout and the heat and tension are palpable. (Attica! Attica! ) May be a bit too long, but still a must see.
