Review of Dog Day Afternoon (1975) by Ty P — 07 Feb 2012
I have always wanted to see this film, however was quite let down after all the hype. Looking a lot like somethin Spike Lee would do only years earlier, DDA kind of drags on and is only held up by Pacino's striking performance.
I find it hard to imagine it winning and being nominated for such awards, except Chris Sarandons's role as Leon, which in it's day would have been spectacular and still shines today.
