Review of Doctor Zhivago (1965) by Zach J — 03 Jan 2008

Probably the most accomplished film in which little of note seems to happen to the main characters. Beautifully shot and performed with some very interesting historical backdrop, but it's still hard to empathize with these characters and their choices.

Still, nobody does the sweeping epic like Lean and you don't feel like three hours plus have passed afterwards...
