Review of Doctor Zhivago (1965) by Eric H — 12 Dec 2008
A David Lean epis that does not disappoint. If you're into that kind of film, then you've already seen this. Nothing amazing, but it is well made and the acting and story is great. Not to mention there are some beautiful scenes.
Add an early Kinski role and a Guinness narration and you got yourself a near-classic. It just didn't have what Kwai or Lwarence had. But that's just me. This is a must-see if you like epics, I just think it's further down the line from the greats.
