Review of Doctor Zhivago (1965) by Thomas S — 24 Feb 2010
The thematic scope of this masterpiece sweeps effortlessly from the acutely personal to the epic historical, displaying all aspects of filmmaking from poetic cinematography to sterling acting. It is both a complex love story and a historical action film.
The entire 20th century rolled up into a single film. Possibly my favorite film of all time.
