David Lean - one hell of a director! The visuals, the music, and the cast wow especially with the cast. Omar Sharif, Rod Steiger(always a powerful presence but especially in this movie), and of the David Lean veteran actor Alec Guinness.
This is a movie that stays with you. From the long list of great movies that I still need to see, this is one that I can happily check off.
