Review of Doctor Zhivago (1965) by Hannah W — 24 Nov 2012
A truly magical romance fueled mostly by Omar Sharif's magnetic, soulful eyes and the masterful cinematography that precedes the movie's reputation. David Lean is anything but lean, and I could have done with a bit more of the history behind the love story, but I still found the film intelligent and enjoyable.
It's not quite of the stature of "Lawrence of Arabia", but still entices and intrigues. It kept me engaged.
