Full of nostalgia, in-jokes and so much Doctor, The Day of the Doctor will please old fans and newcomers alike, thanks to strong performanes from a distinguished cast, solid visual and plenty of Moffat humour.
It serves as a testament to the strength of the show and many will find themselves ecstatic at the return of lots of old familiar faces. Frankly, a triumph of British culture, uncomparable to any other British drama.
The next fifty years look bright indeed.
