The Fiftieth Anniversary went off with a huge bang, Steven Moffat has done what I didn't believe would be plausible without a scary new type of alien added to Whoverse and we get the best bantering between characters I've seen in Who in a long time.

I loved this special, it highlighted the very best parts about Who, showed some of the best visuals I've seen in a Dr Who episode ever and added to the canon with stability and drama, good storytelling. I loved the appearance of Billie Piper as her character, it was a relief that we didn't get what I thought we would, the only small slight was that Jenna Coleman was underused, but in a show that's both beginning a new era for Who and celebrating the title character, I think we can let that slide.

Mr Moffat, you have done something incredible in this movie/special and you have shut a lot of peoples mouths about your style.

You are a national treasure.
