Review of Doctor Who (1996) by Favio V — 01 Mar 2011
Made for American TV, they did a pretty good job of trying to stay true to the British series, even getting Sylvester McCoy back for the opening. Some parts of it work, some don't. And, unfortunately, like so many science fiction shows from the 90s, it's filmed in Vancouver (with a few bits in San Francisco), so it looks like an episode of The X-Files or other such show.
It's worth a watch for fans of the Doctor. But while I'm curious what an American TV series would have been like, it's probably better that it didn't happen.
