It's a pretty decent adaption of SK's book, trying to tie it up with Kubrick's movie. I read the book a few years back, and though it has a few differences (specially the ending) it's an enjoyable movie.
Book wasn't fantastic, it was just OK, therefore the movie is just that, OK.
