Review of Doctor Dolittle (1967) by Adam R — 28 Dec 2013

Some 1,500 animals were used in this movie and it still lacks entertainment. I usually love family musicals, but I didn't care for any of this film's songs. Rex Harrison's style of singing just doesn't work for me.

And I imagine most reasonable people would be outraged to learn that "Talk To The Animals" won the Academy Award for Best Original Song over the masterpiece that is "The Bare Necessities" (from Disney's The Jungle Book).

The critics are right for a change as Doctor Dolittle is one of the dullest movies you will ever see. (First and only viewing - 12/6/2013).
