One of my all-time favorites. The songs are wonderful, the direction and choreography are wonderful, and I'm not sure why this film is not more beloved. I do find that films which are 'episodic' (like this one and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang) do not fare as well as those which have a more linear plot (Mary Poppins or Willy Wonka).
But please do check it out.
