At long last, I have finally seen the 1975 Doc Savage movie! As an avid reader of the books by Kenneth Robeson, I went in expecting almost exactly what I got: A fun, rollercoaster ride of a movie. Although there are a few minor flaws and some hopelessly cheesy dialogue, this movie is fantastic! Flaws: The Crime College does not appear until later Doc books.

Doc cannot "sense" his friend's feelings when they're in New York and he's in the Arctic. The green snakes are in "The Mystic Mullah", not "The Man of Bronze".

I do not recall Captain Seas being in ANY Doc book. Habeas Corpus did not appear until "The Phantom City", the 12ft Doc Savage book. As soon as they are out of danger, Monk and Ham immediately stop being nice to each other, but here they are nice after the danger is over, and HAM PICKS UP HABEAS CORPUS! Our favorite lawyer would rather die than EVER do that.

Cheesy dialogue: Monk: "Have no fear! Doc Savage is here!" Good things: The amazing John Phillip Sousa music! The Fabulous Five are perfectly cast! The great action scenes! The believable and cool gadgets! Ron Ely plays Doc Savage awesomely (he could use a little more muscle power, though).

Overall, a fantastic movie with a great, open ending. It makes me SOOOOOO angry that they never made a sequel! It had such great build-up at the end!!!!!!!
